I (Janece Geisel) obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Boise State University in 2013, and a Master of Science (MS) Degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Walden University in 2019. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-7434) in the State of Idaho and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I am also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA).
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I have experience working with adults and youth who have experienced a myriad of issues. I have been trained in mental health and clinical practices, as well as family and couples system techniques, and work primarily from a Client-Centered approach. I also draw heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Family and Systems Theories. As each individual and family are unique, treatment approaches are modified to best fit the needs of the client.
I am a dedicated counselor and have a strong desire to provide my clients with a safe, comfortable, and open environment which is conducive to helping them reach their counseling goals. I continue to expand my knowledge of the field of counseling through continued education and training.
