Jessy Diaz obtained a Master’s of Counseling and Psychology degree from Troy University, and a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice at Boise State University. She is KCC's current Director of Counselors, a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #: LPC-7130) in the State of Idaho, a National Certified Counselor (Certification # NCC-1096860) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and an International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (certification # 11698) in the State of Idaho.
Jessy enjoys working with individuals, adolescents, and families. She has extensive experience working with adults and juveniles with severe emotional disturbances, substance use disorders, as well as those who have experienced trauma, both individual and in group settings. She has worked with clients in various types of settings including; juvenile corrections, substance abuse facilities, residential foster care, and behavior modification classrooms. She has also been trained in mental health and clinical practices drawing from a client centered approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family and Systems Theory, and Trauma Informed Techniques. Jessy enjoys working with clients from various backgrounds and being a part of each clients journey.
Jessy continues to expand her knowledge base through continued education and training.
As each individual and family are unique, treatment approaches are modified to best fit the needs of each client.
