I (Natalie Shedd) obtained a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, as well as a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (License#LMSW-37327) in the state of Idaho. I am also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Since 2015 I have worked as an Acute Care Social Worker in a hospital setting. Prior to working in hospitals, I worked as a Autism Specialist with Easter Seals Midwest and in several group homes with youth in the foster care system. In a counseling capacity, I draw primarily from Strength-Based Therapy, Accetance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. I strive to always accept clients for exactly who they are without ascribing my biased
judgement to their story. I hope to allow clients to sit comfortably with their pain, their fears, and their self-doubt as we work together towards their goals. I believe in the incredible resiliency and aptitude of the human spirit that lives within all of us and see people for who they want to become.
