I (Viola Nhapi) obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from (Northwest Nazarene University 2024) in Nampa, Idaho. I am a licensed counselor intern #COUI – 10321 in the state of Idaho. I
am a certified international basic Christian Counselor and I have a certificate from the Christian Counseling Center of Mt Pleasant, Harare Zimbabwe, 2017. I spent 3 years providing pastoral care to orphaned children in under resourced villages in Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the Kingdom of Eswatini. I am passionate about working with under resourced youths and rural populations to ensure smooth accessibility to mental health resources. I have worked with youth who have experienced trauma, and hose struggling with eating disorders, behavior problems, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorder. I am a level 4 certified psychiatric technician (NCPT4) with a national certificate from the AAPT. I have provided inpatient psychiatric care and emergency services for students experiencing mental health crises. Additionally, I have worked with college students living with disabilities, physical and mental, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and mood disorders using Person-centered therapy, behavior modification, and trauma informed care. My approach is person-centered, empathetic and I believe that with empathy, congruence, and an unconditional positive regard every individual can learn skills that facilitate positive change.
