I (Sarah Hessing) obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Public Health, and a Master of Social Work degree from Boise State University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Idaho, license number 042305. I am trained to treat trauma, substance use, depression, and anxiety.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, couples, and individuals. I draw primarily from principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and Existential Therapy. I also practice Play Therapy and Art Therapy. By applying complementary therapy techniques, I aim to empower clients through increasing self-awareness, processing trauma in healthy ways, strengthening feelings of connection, and finding meaning in life's challenges.
