https://doxy.me/jimgriggcounselor I love being part of helping people achieve the happiness they desire. I also believe in the power of family and personal relationships to bring real joy in our lives. These beliefs led me to pursue a career in the field of counseling and obtain my Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (M.S.) from Oklahoma State University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Idaho. I have more than 20 years’ experience providing therapy and am currently the Clinical Director of Real Solutions Counseling. I have specialized as a marriage and family therapist, and have sought diverse training in both short and longer term therapy approaches. I work from a Solution Focused Strength Based approach to counseling. I also draw heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques as well as Systems Theory Techniques. I enjoy working with couples and families, adolescents, and individuals with a variety of issues such as relationship distress, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, borderline personality disorder, as well as other severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have been happily married for more than 25 years to my fabulous, beautiful wife. We have six beautiful children, three sons and three daughters, ages 11 to 24. I was raised in Kuna, Idaho since the age of five and love spending time with my family. Some of the things I enjoy are serving in my church, water skiing, snow skiing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and roller skating.
